A shrouded idea of the Bridal Chamber (Holy of Holies) according to theologians

The mystery is explained in my experience of it.

Matthew 25
And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

Jesus saved me from lies, sin etc., loneliness, from the curse of the law, and united me with an angel, I believe, and brought me into His Body, which is a spiritual body.

I made a confession that God the Father (God of Truth) is my father, Jesus Christ is my Saviour and the Holy Spirit is my Councillor, while in the Bridal Chamber!

Now that is what I have documented that I confessed in the second event (resurrection):

In the first event, I prayed to Jesus for forgiveness and for his protection because I was scared and did not know what was going on.

The mirrored Bridal Chamber was once an Orthodox ceremony / sacrament because it was replaced by mundane earthly/non-alchemical marriage. The mystical Bridal Chamber is a spiritual event, which had been mirrored by a ceremony/sacrament, similar to repentance being mirrored by a water baptism.

The last passage of Gospel of Philip also describes it as a spiritual event - it happens to you; and it indeed did happen-to me.

If some belong to the order of the priesthood, they will be able to go within the veil with the high priest.

I could be mistaken, but I don’t think the Bridal Chamber is for everyone. See “Baptism of the Holy Spirit”.

It is what is referred to as the True Wedding of Thomasine (followers of Thomas) Christianity. And this concept of Perfect Man, and clothing oneself with Christ may be through this tradition.

## By God’s decree it happened spontaneously

From the Gnostic Catechism:

At this time in history, the sacrament of the Bride-Chamber (Sacred Wedding / Hieros Gamos / Mystery of the Syzygies) is not conferred in earthly form, but is received by the soul in its own realm, usually after bodily death. It is not impossible, however, that the Bride-Chamber may return in earthly manifestation when God so decrees.

(75) Jesus said: There are many standing at the door, but it is the solitary who will enter the bridal chamber.

Interpretation
I believe it was a confirmation that the Bridal Chamber is the correct interpretation of what has happened. I was already convinced. But also, that people who haven’t experienced that may still be saved.

Well, actually, they were brothers (which means brothers in Christ), so although not experiencing the Bridal Chamber, they are still in the Body of Christ.

I have mentioned this.

Kingdom of Light:

The answer is probably one of the following:

• The Bridal Chamber simply makes whole, and members of the Body may already be whole
• Happens to all invisibly or at earthly death
• It’s reserved for the Priesthood to enter the Holy of Holies:

### Metaphysical synchronization

• God made it happen in sync with Orthodox holy days
• And in sync with my own reaching out (without knowledge of what was going on)
• And in sync with earthly matchmaking

## The mystery of redemption gave me gnosis (spiritual knowledge)

Returning to the truth in that it is a gnosis, a redemption, a revelation of God to myself, etc. without trying further to understand,it is amazing in itself to say that I have viscerally witnessed (astrally) becoming born-again; that is because I received the chrism in the Bridal Chamber.

A change of mind, repentance, the state of changing any or all of the elements composing one’s life: attitude, thoughts, and behaviors concerning the demands of God for right living; note that this state can refer to the foundational salvation event in Christ, or to on-going repentance in the Christian life.
A sacred mystery
A mystery hidden in God, which can never be known unless revealed by God.

These were spontaneous and God-given experiences over Easter 2022.

I wish I could go back in time and have the same amount of belief!

## Holy baptism - A person receives One baptism of the Holy Spirit

A person receives One baptism of the Holy Spirit, but people experience this differently.

• John 3:16 John answered them all, saying, “I baptize you with water, but he who is mightier than I is coming, the strap of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

T Holy Spirit baptism is accompanied by signs, i.e. speaking in tongues, bridal chamber, etc., and not always the same signs.

### Fire baptism with the Bridal Chamber

For me, this was my holy spirit baptism:

• It was my personal encounter with the Holy Spirit.
• I believe on that encounter I received the chrism via Sacred Kiss.

Confirmed through Gospel of Philip.

And my Baptism of the Holy Spirit happened over a period of about a month.

“For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

Duty: to love his wife like his own soul.

## Gospel of Philip: Redemption vs Bridal Chamber

Am I reading this right? According to the Gospel of Philip, the sacrament of the Bridal Chamber is not necessary for redemption? That is correct. The mirrored Bridal Chamber is reserved for a select few - solitary - in Valentinianism, via a special ceremony. But the Bridal Chamber event happens upon death for everyone according to the Gnostic Catechism. On top of that, when God decrees, it just happens to a person in this life according to the Gnostic Catechism!

I do not preclude that Christ may live in a person without this bridal-chamber ’experience’. Also, a person may absolutely remain a Christ follower without this bridal-chamber experience. And a person may exercise faithfulness to God (though it may be extremely difficult) without the Holy Spirit indwelling.

Romans 8:10
10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

Definition of redemption:

### And what about ongoing sin?

Also, it’s definitely possible to ‘sin’ after the bridal chamber - but we don’t make a practice of it. But we must continue to repent and turn back to Him, and not forget who saved us.

I agree with the Gospel of Mary definition of sin, though I have not yet vetted Gospel of Mary:

All sin is adultery and could be thought of as yoking oneself to something other than God. For example, you commit adultery when you lie to others because you’ve been unfaithful to the God of Truth. Adultery is unfaithfulness. Sin creates spiritual brokenness, against yourself and others. Adultery creates brokenness. Murder is unfaithfulness because it’s unfaithful to the God of Love. Pride is unfaithfulness.

Spiritual Truth = Love = Rest.

Sin is not the desirable thing to do - it’s far more satisfying to remain faithful! But it’s still challenging sometimes because the world is unjust.

Sin = Brokenness / Illusion / Unfaithfulness, etc.

All sin is adultery, the reason why marriage into the spiritual Body of Christ must take place is because it deals with the adultery in our hearts; it makes it visible and separates it.

2 Corinthians 11
I promised you to one husband, to Christ, so that I might present you as a pure virgin to him.

The spiritual marriage of man to Christ represents our union with God by Grace, the death of the old man, and the restoration of the Divine Image.

This lofty and unfathomable mystery moves wholly away from any of the literal (and thus dangerous) marital images that abound in Western Christianity.

### Joining the perfect light with the Holy Spirit

What is the perfect light?

He said on that day in the thanksgiving, “You who have joined the perfect light with the Holy Spirit, unite the angels with us also, as being the images.” Do not despise the lamb, for without it, it is not possible to see the king.

Yes, I believe it’s the light-body which is mentioned in Dialogue of the Saviour. I can most certainly feel the vibrations of the light-body, and I know that in the astral realm, my body is lit up like a candlestick. As I mention here, and as Jesus purportedly mentioned in Dialogue of the Saviour, when things are in order, you are literally shining God’s light. Some theologians have tried to actually describe this light according to aeons.

To “unite the angels with us also” means in some sense literally to unite with angels.

To become part of the Heavenly Liturgy:

A person on earth is an image, but disconnected from the type, and they stray from the ideal image because of this, namely the perfect-man (primordial Adam), but of their individual likeness. Jesus Christ is the image of God. God the Father is Jesus' type, and he was connected to his type. Likewise, human beings have an image (physical/material self) and type (spiritual self), but those are disconnected because we are born into illusion.

So I believe the image now is the new perfect image, which is the physical manifestation of the perfect man.

The perfect man who’s spirit is shown to me in image of the androgyne.

It can also mean the image of Christ.

Jealousy is like covetousness and adultery. Rid yourself of it. I had actually rid myself of jealousy, so that fact is an accordance. Though I wanted 🍓 I was not jealous. I still do not have jealousy.

(40) As they stood there, he saw two spirits bringing a single soul with them in a great flash of lightning. And a Word came forth from the Son of Man, saying, “Give them their garment!” And the small one became like the big one. They were […] those who received them […] each other. ## Hebrews 10:19-25 - How to enter the Bridal Chamber (Holy of Holies)

Hebrews mentions the Bridal Chamber here.

It says in order to enter:

• have boldness
• have a true heart
• full assurance of faith
• sprinkled from an evil conscience
• repent before doing this
• bodies washed with pure water
• literally try sleeping without drying yourself! No joke!

What I was like:

• All of the above
• Sincere, meek, loving and facetious, but above all things True. In everything be True - just be like Jesus and you will be ready.
• At peace
• Relinquish ties
• Pray to God sincerely

Seek Jesus like Children, and boldness will come from sincerity.

Redemption is the "Holy of the Holy". "The Holy of the Holies" is the bridal chamber.

## The way I slept

It honestly mattered, but I think it was surely predestiny.

If the woman had not separated from the man, she should not die with the man. His separation became the beginning of death. Because of this, Christ came to repair the separation, which was from the beginning, and again unite the two, and to give life to those who died as a result of the separation, and unite them. But the woman is united to her husband in the bridal chamber. Indeed, those who have united in the bridal chamber will no longer be separated. Thus Eve separated from Adam because it was not in the bridal chamber that she united with him.

The Valentinian Bridal Chamber in the Gospel of Philip

This is my visceral experience of the Bridal Chamber:

## In the Maw of the Bridal Chamber

It is, at once, the place of mystical union between Christ and His Bride (the Church). At the same time, it is the grave of Christ Himself. For that mystical union with Christ begins by being “buried with Christ in His death” (in Holy Baptism). The marriage of Christ and His Bride is in the paradox of the hideous maw of death’s domain, at the same time the place of Christ’s utter triumph over every adversary. We are not removed from that terrible place – we are healed precisely there. The resurrection of Christ begins in the tomb.

There was no ‘ceremony’ that I followed.

Whatever happened, happened spontaneously and changed me.

It’s surely something of an event at a higher dimension, and a mystery, which I am confident of in retrospect.

The vision of the eikon, visio dei, visio dei / beatific vision happens after the Bridal Chamber.

It illustrates the tendency of motifs originally connected with baptism to become distinct rituals, as the mythical context of these motifs also becomes more and more elaborate. Thus, while the receiving of the garment or body of light is still connected with baptism in some of the sayings in the Gospel of Philip ncompilation, in others the clothing with light is effected by Chrism or the Bridal Chamber. The symbolic referents of the sacral marriage itself are multiple. The restoration of the broken unity of Adam stills plays a role, but the biblical legend is now overshadowed by theogonic myths of the Valentinian type. The sacramental union in the Bridal Chamber has its archetype in the union of the Savior with the previously barren Sophial0--also represented by the peculiar legends of Christ's association with Mary Magdalene --and its fulfillment in the es chatological union of each gnostic's true self (the eikon) with its corresponding "angel."

## Alchemical marriage with an ‘angel of the Savior’

It’s possible this is event unites a holy angel with a select Christian to empower them to carry out the plan.

I just don’t know how it all works but it’s a mystery I want to understand.

I don’t understand yet so I’ll leave it there.

### Marriage to Jesus

### Divine self - Angel

Rather than being a marriage where a man and a woman are united, the Valentinian bridal chamber was a place where individuals were united with their divine self, their angel.

The anointing was performed in the Name of Christ through whom the person’s angel was also redeemed (Irenaeus Against Heresies 1:21:3, Excerpts of Theodotus 22:5).

### Marriage

Matthew 9:16
No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse.

The meaning of this parable, I believe is talking about spiritual soul-bonding.

There are stages:

• 1 Repentance/habitual circumcision (Removing the corruption from your Ego, Super-Ego and body).
• 2 Spiritual circumcision (Removing the corruption from the spirit/Id).
• 3 Soul-bonding with God / Divine-self (Sealing yourself from new spiritual corruption).
• This is spiritual rebirth
• 4 Marriage
• Only under above circumstances is it possible to be new cloth on new garment.

Somehow, I believe the divine-self angel has a likeness with marriage partner; There’s an element of divine matchmaking, but it’s also a matter of choice. We have to make the right choice for each stage of gnosis.

After alchemical marriage with God, any Earthly marriage is possible without inhibiting gnosis/reconciliation.

Mark 10:9
Mr 10:9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

This person (angel) has red hair and walks very hastily like she’d never seen day before and confidently, knows that I know, I think, and appearance only started happening after the Holy Baptism and on the most surreal day. She looks a lot like 🍓; I guess that says something!

## The resurrection

  1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16  People bear fruit spiritually by attaining a state of mystical knowledge (gnosis) in which they are joined with their angel who accompanies the Savior. Awakened from the drunken stupor of ignorance, and freed of suffering, they recognize their true spiritual nature. This is the true resurrection from the dead, that is, from the death of ignorance. This resurrection does not take place in the afterlife. It must be experienced in the here and now.

## The Baptismal Reunification Formula

Reunification follows directly from having “clothed yourselves with Christ” (Galatians 3:28), that is, “the new man” (Colossians 3:10).

Putting on clothing implies having previously removed clothing, and “putting on” (enduesthai) Christ is preceded by having “taken off” (apekduesthai) or “laid aside” (apotithenai) “the old man” (Colossians 3:9; Ephesians 4:22)- “the body of flesh” (Colossians 2:11).

There can be little doubt that the “taking off” and “putting on” is first of all an interpretation of the act of disrobing, which must have preceded baptism, and of the dressing afterward.

By being taken up into the symbolic language these simple procedures become ritual acts.

### I believe there is a symmetry with the Bridal Chamber

• The disrobing of the flesh itself through astral projection.
• The putting on of the new man (light body).

But that’s just an interesting parallel I noticed.

Like baptism, putting on a new garment represented putting off the old man and being clothed in "Christ" and putting on a resurrected body after symbolic death. The early christian or late Jewish Odes of Solomon abound in the symbolism of baptism and tie the garment to the baptismal ritual: Ode 11. 9-10 "I stripped off sin and cast it from me and the Lord renewed me in his raiment". Ode 21.2 I put off darkness and clothed myself with light. Ode 15.6 "I have put on incorruption through His Name, I have put off corruption by his grace" Ode 25.8 I was clothed with the covering of thy spirit, and thou didst remove from me my raiment of skin.

Adam was born in the beginning without any reason to be ashamed, but after having transgressed the commandments and becoming mortal, he needed a garment. ## The Heretical Revival: The Nag Hammadi Library

It’s heresy, but it’s also true, so go-figure.

Einar Thomassen has concluded that the apolytrosis is simply the name given by Valentinians to the Christian initiation ritual, of which water baptism is the primary component. As per the bridal chamber, scholars have delivered four general opinions: - 1) an ascetic-symbolic bridal chamber; - 2) the bridal chamber refers to marital sex; - 3) there is no consistent bridal chamber; - 4) couples in intercourse focus their will and vision on God above so that the spiritual seed descends and the conceived child is imprinted by the image of the Lord. The Gospel of Matthew confirms concept of sons of the bridechamber which adds credence to Gospel of Philip.

This essentially talks about how days come when the bridegroom - divine-self/angel/Spirit of Jesus - is taken away. It’s saying when that happens such people should fast and pray.
